ABOUT THE UCC
The University Catholic Center (UCC), alternatively the Catholic Students Association (CathSA), is the Newman Center of UCLA and parent institution to Kawan. Located at 633 Gayley Avenue, the UCC is the hub of all Catholic Bruin community life & programming at this university.
UCC operations are managed by the "Staff," split into (1) "Pastoral Staff" led by the Director, Associate Director, & various ministers and (2) "Administrative Staff" led by the Secretary & others. Members are either appointed internally or directly by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
University student affairs are overseen by the UCC's appointed, academic leadership called the "Student Leadership Team" (SLT) which facilitates the following: (1) community life, (2) education & faith development, (3) social justice, (4) outreach, and (5) liturgy.
