About KawanWe are the UCLA Filipino Catholic Association—a college, Christian community of servant leaders founded in late-2021 at the top public university in America to celebrate the rich Filipino tradition of Catholicism.
Rooted in the biblical & Tagalog word "kawan" which translates to "flock," the association welcomes students, alumni, and friends of all backgrounds. As part of the University Catholic Center at UCLA, Kawan fosters a faith community and college bahay (home) for its members. We explore the Christian faith and teachings of Jesus Christ through a Filipino lens with examples set by our patrons—San Lorenzo Ruiz & San Pedro Calungsod. |
We welcome you to Kawan!
